How to Join
People wishing to join the ACT Law Society can do so either as Solicitor members or Associate members.
Solicitor membership is open to anyone who has been admitted as a solicitor in Australia. Membership costs $121 (this is included in the price of practicing certificates for ACT practitioners).
Associate membership is open to anybody who would like to join the Society. Membership costs $121.
Joining the Law Society enables you to access a range of services including:
- Access to 'members only' sections of the Law Society website
- The opportunity to participate in Law Society Committees
- Practice advice and support
- Business, ethical and professional counseling, education and training
- Discounted CPD
- Associate membership of the NSW Law Society
- Information, social, sporting and other networking activities
